First UK Academic Conference on BIM Abstract Deadline Monday 9th April 2012

by BIM Academy on 06 February 2012

We are pleased to announce the 1st UK Academic Conference on Building Information Modelling (BIM), to be held in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK,  between Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th September 2012. We invite papers on any aspect of BIM; to express your interest, please see the abstract submission instructions that follow.

The conference is supported by BIM Academy and by the newly-formed UK BIM Academic Forum. The event will be held at Northumbria University’s new City Campus East Building and the outline conference timetable will be as follows:

Wednesday 5th September 2012: Arrival & registration from 2pm til 5pm. Evening reception;
Thursday 6th September 2012: Full day of paper presentations. Conference dinner;
Friday 7th September 2012: Full morning of presentations, lunch and close.

The conference has been designed to permit delegates (particularly overseas guests) to follow their attendance at the 28th Annual ARCOM Conference that is to be held in Edinburgh at the beginning of the same week. Edinburgh is about 90 minutes’ train journey from Newcastle.

It is intended that the best papers from the conference would be incorporated in a special edition of the International Journal of 3D Information Modeling (IJ3DIM).

The Conference Fee will be £250 (Standard) with a discount for PhD students.

This is a call for outline abstracts to the conference. Abstracts should comprise Title, Authors and their affiliations, and abstract of 100-300 words, and a maximum of 5 keywords. These should be sent as a word file or pdf to Jane Matthews
